About Atteza

Atteza pieces are inspired on the work of the most representative pre-Columbian cultures that inhabited the Colombian territory between 800 B.C and 1800 A.D: Muisca, Tairona, Quimbaya, Cauca, Nariño, Tierradentro, Sinú, Tolima, Urabá, Malagana and San Agustín. The Muisca, one out of the four most advanced civilizations of the Americas (along with the Aztec, Mayas and Incas) has been a major source of inspiration for Atteza, exhibiting a rich cultural narrative and a profound connection with the innate human wisdom and its relationship with the natural world.

Atteza’s take on this pre-Columbian cultures introduce pieces designed to empower and beautify women by reflecting on the ever-changing nature and flow of life. Behind every Atteza collection lays a powerful narrative aimed to bring up the creative force by supporting meaningful intention. Each collection comes with a purpose : to regain balance, attain inner peace, trigger creativity, maintain focus, creating little aesthetic environments to propel intentions.

The Collections

Two powerful nature forces define the essence of Atteza collections: AIR represented by the CONDOR and EARTH represented by the JAGUAR, two sacred animals regarded in the Muisca culture as having compelling transformative powers.  The condor and the Jaguar symbolize the duality of two opposite yet complementary forces, constantly feeding and nurturing from each other to create a “whole”, reciprocating a vital influx of energy in the way of an ancestral symbiotic dance.

The condor collection introduces concentric organic pieces featuring a design that revolve around an open center. Semilunar, Mariposa and Circulos embrace this concept with organic shapes and circular patterns using intricate designs in a beautiful balance. The condor represents the ever flowing energy that glides effortlessly trough the air achieving great power by embracing the essential nature of life’s organic flow.

JAGUAR

The Jaguar collection introduce solid pieces featuring designs inspired on earthy creatures, reminiscent of the innate connection of the natural world and the self. Rana, Tairona and Muisca epitomizes this concept with the use of dense patterns and a solid core providing the piece with a structural weight. The Jaguar represents the deep-rooted grounding energy that flows organically between earth and fire, attaining balance and precise control by embracing the darkness with heightened senses and a clear, sharp mind.
